Welcome to Sumatra Trekkers! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and the eco-guided safari tours and affiliated activities ("Services") we offer in the Sumatran jungle. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Sumatra Trekkers provides eco-guided safari tours in the Sumatran jungle, including trekking, wildlife viewing, and other affiliated activities as detailed on our website.

2. User Conduct

You agree to use our website and Services only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the website. Prohibited behavior includes harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any person, transmitting obscene or offensive content, or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within our website.

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Poke the Box Studios or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws. No content may be submitted by users.

4. Booking and Payment Terms

By booking a tour with Sumatra Trekkers (brand and website operated and managed by Poke the Box Studios), you agree to the following payment and cancellation terms:

  • Cancellation Policy:
    • Cancel ≥ 2 weeks before trekking: Full deposit refund, minus any transaction fees incurred.
    • Cancel ≥ 1 week before trekking:
      • If fully paid: Full refund minus a 10% administration fee and any transaction fees incurred.
      • If only deposit paid: 50% of the deposit refunded, after transaction fees.
    • Cancel < 24 hours before trekking: No refund.

  • Adjustments and Changes: Should you need to adjust your activities or change your arrival date, please reach out to us right away. While our dedicated local teams (guides, drivers, and activity partners) are pre-booked to ensure your seamless experience, we will always do our very best to accommodate your requests.

  • Please note that adjusting confirmed arrangements may occasionally involve a nominal re-booking fee, as our teams commit their time exclusively to your trek. In cases of very last-minute changes (less than 20 days prior to arrival) or external travel disruptions like flight delays, any associated fees incurred to our teams would be the guest's responsibility. Our aim is always to find the best possible solution for you, ensuring your Sumatra adventure remains an incredible one!

5. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Our website and Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Poke the Box Studios makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of their Services, or the information, content or materials included on this website. You expressly agree that your use of this website and our Services is at your sole risk.

Poke the Box Studios will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of this website or from any information, content, materials, products or services included on or otherwise made available to you through this website, including, but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages, unless otherwise specified in writing.

The suitability of tours for participants of specific ages is handled on a case-by-case basis. While we may collect a child's name and age for tour facilitation, all bookings must be made by an adult guardian who assumes full responsibility for the child.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will post the most current version on our website. Your continued use of our Services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
